This is currently the favorite under-$10 bottle of bubbly of my wife and me. Went great with our shrimp cocktail and salad that we had for dinner. Dry with a touch of fruit.

After not having given Bordeaux's much traction, a friend and I decided that we needed to see what all the fuss was about and picked up a bottle of the 05 Leoville Barton and brought it with us to a great steakhouse in San Diego. We had it with filet and it was nothing short of amazing. Silky, velvety, a touch of smoke, and an elegant finish that went down, down, down...

Tried this at the winery a while back and picked up a bottle for my dad as a gift. For anyone who likes desert wines, Praeger is a must-stop in Napa Valley. Thick and rich with cherry, plums and leather.

Up until I tried this wine, I was pretty luke-warm on Malbecs but we tried this with japanese-style shabu shabu the other week with shredded raddish in ponzu sauce and the result was amazing as the ponzu sauce made flavors of the wine jump out against the thin slices of prime rib.

Treanna White 2002

My wife and I had the 2006 as the white at our wedding. She's got a sweet tooth and it pleased her well in this regard but wasn't so sweet that it couldn't go with a main course. Well refined with citrus flavors that come together nicely.

A delicious wine with a very fitting name. Bursting with deep fruit flavors of cherry and blackberry and a finish that has many 'layers' to it.

Great example of a Napa mountain cab. Earlier vintages (99, 01) were even better. This wine was my first introduction so it and this winery will always be a personal favorite (helps too that I have family ties to the winery)
