    mark's Review:

The steely nose still manages to carry some fruit. This is a big, oaky wine with crisp acidity which I don't normally attribute to California Chardonnay. All of the oak I would expect is there, however, and it's as big as it usually is, moving right through from start to the long finish.

Bright aromas with a fungal funkiness and some baked pears mashed in. Medium thick mouthfeel, with medium acidity, light fruit and more than a touch of oak. The finish kind of drops off, lingering mostly with the oak flavors.

Creamy, acidic, citrus aromas with some solid heat. Flavors are buttery, but have plenty of lemon and even some rounder fruit flavors to back them up. Oak showing through on the finish.

  • mark's Review:

Apples and cream permeate this wine. Though there is a little bit of heat on the finish, it's definitely not abrasive and mixes well with the butter and acidity. Very smooth, thick mouthfeel making this wine a meal in and of itself. Almost.

  • mark's Review:

Rich, fresh and floral aromas of red fruit and leather. Flavors are smooth, mellow and warm, with lots of dark fruit, some drying tannins, leather and oak, finishing with a dollop of cherry cough syrup.

  • mark's Review:

Ripe red fruit nose with fungal undertones. Pepper and spice mixed with dark red fruit. There's a bit of a tannic edge, but it's quite smooth, with notes of dark chocolate and oak. Smooth, silky texture.

  • mark's Review:

Quite rustic on the nose with burnt wood and lots of ripe cherries. Deep, dark blackberry flavors. Juicy, flavorful and rich, mellowing into chocolate towards the finish.

  • mark's Review:

Light floral and herbal nose, flavors are slightly yeasty with a hint of a fungal note. Pleasant bubbles, lovely flavor. Very nice wine.

    mark's Review:

Melon nose, taking on a bit of a citrus profile. Great citrus palate. Clean, refreshing, with a bit of fizz, a hint of creaminess on the long finish.

  • mark's Review:

Bright fruit, but mellow nose. Cough syrup and spice. A lot of fruit, leather and raspberry.
