On the palate a medium acidity with everything else in abound: velvety tannins, intensity of flavours, body, and a long pleasant finish. Harmony, balance, generosity, complexity... yes please!!!

On the palate we have lots of everything: acidity, tannins, body and intense aromas similar to the nose but with the oak more apparent. Good length. Really nice, food-friendly wine.

Medium acidity and good tannins and body with a long, pleasant finish with a dark chocolate nuance. Well crafted wine, easy to match with meals.

Added Nov 29, 2009 at 6:05amAfter a glass of the 2007 my mouth feels like an ashtray. The wine is probably not bad from the start but it tastes like it's been filtered through smoked tobacco. Unbalanced combination of oak and caramel. I can't detect any taste of real grapes. No complexity. Useable to get dizzy at a barbecue party, but bad value. I can't understand the praise it's been getting. Without the tons of oak shavings they must have used it might have been ok.

Added Mar 9, 2009 at 3:59pmRuby red towards purple. Transparent with long oily legs. Nose: warm, spicy thyme and rosemary, dark cherries and some vanilla. Mouth: Powerful Mediterranean style, balanced with nice tannins and fruit. Pleasant, harmonious aftertaste which lingers for a long time. Should go well with many kinds of pasta, pizza, meat or veggie dishes, especially Mediterranean.
