David says it tastes like strawberries and cheese. I am prone to agree with at least the former. It's a gentle wine, with a softness, but not a sad lack of acids; those are there, too, they just don't prick and poke. A kind, sweet thing that is happy on its own; doesn't require food.

A big surprise. I didn't expect much from this bottle, which the Mr. and I bought from a fluorescent-lit storefront in Dundee, Ore.. So we opened it on a weeknight when we were bored. My goodness what a bunker-buster this wine is, huge and floppy and sweet. Recollection is foggy, but I think it's north of 15% alcohol, and still not fermented to dryness. Tastes like sunny fields and berry seeds. Then again, this was a couple of weeks ago so my memory might not be ideal.

Calm and soft, with cocoa and caramel suggestions. Not a fruity wine, but not so dusty and sere as some old-world style non-fruity wines can be. Lovely and serene. Wonderful with duck.
