    kybecca's Review:

We haven't had the pleasure of tasting this wine yet, but here is Parker's review: "This estate was justifiably elevated to a Premier Grand Cru Classe in the new St.-Emilion classification thanks to the exceptional efforts of proprietress Christine Valette over the last two decades. The 2005 is one of the monumental wines of the vintage, and may eclipse their prodigious 1990. Inky/blue/purple-colored with an exceptional bouquet of Asian spices, blueberries, blackberries, truffles, cold steel, graphite, and charcoal, it hits the palate with exceptional purity, laser-like precision, a compellingly concentrated, multilayered mouthfeel, a broad, savory texture, terrific acidity, and substantial, but sweet tannins. It lives up to everything it revealed in barrel, and appears set to live for a half century or more. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2050."99 Points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Issue #176 April 2008 kybecca.com

An absolute bargain, you would swear this was a much more expensive wine. Very rich and full bodied with lovely dark berry flavors.

What an amazing wine! The perfect weight, well-balanced, complex and just plain delicious. A Bordeaux-style blend with a California soul.

    kybecca's Review:

This small production Australian wine is all estate grown and aged on the lees in French oak. The result is a wine of great depth and a lush mouth-feel. Ripe plum and dark berry flavors greet you up front; a spicy kick on the long finish.kybecca.com

    kybecca's Review:

This is one fantastic wine, and a heck of a deal. Well balanced, yet palate-coating; full of plum and dried figs mingled with saddle leather, chestnuts, and white pepper. Finishes with a nice blackberry kick. We recommend pairing this with lamb, burgers, or anything off the grill. Also drinks well on its own.kybecca.com

    kybecca's Review:

BURGHOUND Tasting note: Relatively high-toned and unusually elegant red pinot and raspberry fruit aromas complement the rich, firm and pure medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent detail and a subtle minerality on the penetrating and beautifully balanced finish. This is an impressive effort with ample depth and unusually good presence for its level. Worth a look.Tasted: Apr 01, 2007Score: 88-91 Drink: 2012+- Comments: Outstanding!kybecca.com
