Nice well balanced Pinot with a smooth finish. Great as a stand alone sipping wine as well as very food friendly. Great value at under $10.

Smooth and mellow with lots of berry flavors and a mellow finish. Very food friendly. Great value in a Pinot.

I've only had the 2008 and love it. This is an all purpose red. Relax after work glass, great with bbq, steak, pasta or with chocolate for dessert. Perfectly balance fruit forward with a pleasant mellow finish that is also good as a sipping wine. For the price highly recommended.

I grabbed a glass of this at a BBQ where we had all brought wine and thought I was drinking a really good Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an outstanding wine comparable with reserve Cabs costing a lot more. Although I not surprised I was impressed by a top shelf wine from Prosser, WA. This is one of the ten best wines I've drunk so far in 2011.

Ruby style port. Good but left me wanting more as the flavors were dull and not fully defined. After a week it's flavorless. My first and last bottle.

Good but not great. Must breathe which opens up the fruit flavor. Decent with food not a sipping wine. There are better blends for less. Apothic Red being better and cheaper. Columbia Crest 3H Les Chevaux Red is a few bucks more very well spent.

The 2008 rated 91 points from Wine Spectator. I'd not be surprised if this 2009 vintage scores 90+ points. It is a good bIg Red blend from Washington's biggest winery with all the grapes sourced from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The AVA includes Canoe Ridge overlooking the Columbia river. Columbia Crest wines are 2 Vines $8 entry level offering, Grand Estates $11 very drinkable Columbia Valley offering, this new 3H $15 tier which is a true bargain and the reserves that include the WS #1 2009 Wine of the year. In a sea of wine during the Horse Heaven Hills trail drive this stood out as a fruit forward blend with well balanced tanins and acid, a nice smooth finish, that is ready to drink now. This will now doubt only improve with up to 5+ years of aging.

I bought a case of this in 2008 and it was a very smart move. Syrah is a favorite of customers and other wineries who buy grapes for their own Syrah.

Dry all acid and tanins no good flavors with a thin finish.

For under twenty bucks at Costco this is a premium wine at a great price. Smooth big flavorful red with a velvet smooth finish. Just the right amount of Oak. Columbia Crest in the past decade has racked up more 90 point wines than any other winery on earth. BTW their barrel rooms cover a modest 14 acres and they are running out of space.
