So I am traveling for a few weeks for work. I stopped by the local wine store (aka Walmart) to find a twist top wine I could enjoy in my room. Twin Fin is a twist top, and for $7, over 2 days, was a solid choice. It has nice tannins and mainly a cherry flavor. If you need a second bottle, or just an easy, cheap pick, this is it.

Remind in 2015 to track down a bottle to drink. After a last minute change to dine in rather than dine out, we picked this up to drink. The tannins are awesome and the vanilla and berry smooth flavors are quite tasty.Buy a bottle and wait as long as you can to drink ;)

A solid chardonnay. A bit oaky and full flavored, which is what I like in a chardonnay. I even thought the finish was a creamy...but maybe I was just influenced by the name ;)

This wine will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first wine my now husband and I enjoyed, recognized when we went to purchase more, and bought lots and lots of it.Its a simple and smooth Cabernet, but you know what you are going to get.

A bottle we brought back from our recent Honeymoon, how could it not be good? The color was dark. Very dark...different than usual. The bouquet was smoky, had some berries. The taste was somehow bold, yet smooth at the same time. Nice wood and spice undertones. A bottle enjoyed by all!

Maybe we drank it too soon...Maybe we drank it after an amazing wine...Maybe the $4.99 at Trader Joes was just too good to be true. While the bouquet gave us hope with a little smoky and spice, the wine was lifeless, simple, zero complexity to it. Spend 3-5 more bucks and get something better!

The oldest wine I have ever had (for what its worth). It was a special, go out on a limb, bottle for my husband's 30th birthday. The reviews were mixed, as it may have been past its prime, and that 1998 was an odd year for Napa. The verdict: My husband loved it, and thats what counts. Me? The first sips were a little shock to the palate, a little overwhelmed with tannins. But as a drank more, the undertones of the wine came to the front. I loved the black cherry/dark fruit mixed in with a little smokiness (or was it oaky-ness?) Either way, A solid wine for those wanting to go outside their comfort zone.
