The Fire Station Red Cabernet is a very pleasant, easy drinking cab, with generous fruit and soft tannins. Would not be my first choice for a steak, but would be great with BBQ or lamb.

Very deep ruby color - almost inky. Nose is quite nice, with spicy aromas with underlying cherry and stone fruit. Was far better the second day and really opened up nicely, which would suggest decanting is in order. Pair with maybe lamb or grilled pork and BBQ, but probably not my first choice for a grilled steak.

Very pleasant and enjoyable Pinot. Nice fruit with cherry and raspberry aromas. My wife drinks mostly Pinots, but it kind of picky and she loved it.

I kind of cut my wine teeth some years ago on Yellow Tail Shiraz. Jammy and simple for sure, but also fun and approachable, and we were buying it like crazy. And it kind of helped get me in to wine. So fast forward almost a decade and it has been a long time since I've had a bottle of Yellow Tail. But I had heard some good things about the Reserve Shiraz, and it had shown up on some best buy lists, so I when my grocer had it for about half price I thought what the heck. I was pleasantly surprised. It had a nice nose with lots of raspberry and cherry aromas, and on the palate it was fairly concentrated with some pepper and vanilla notes. All in all a nice Shiraz. I would put this on my crowd pleaser list, and it would be a good wine for a party or BBQ.

Lush and juicy, with a great nose of cherries and berry fruit. Beautiful balance, with fairly soft tannins for a Cab of this quality, and I would probably drink this on its own or with some nice cheese. Very smooth, but has complex flavors and a long finish. Just delicious. Definitely give this one at least an hour in the decanter.

Lovely nose - very intense fruit. But this isn't all fruit as there is some nice complexity here with some minerality and earthiness to balance the fruit. Tannins are nicely controlled and just a bit of oak that isn't too overpowering. My friend called this a "gorgeous" wine, and I think that fits. After an hour or so in the decanter the wine really began to shine, and became even more round. I paid $15 and that is a tremendous value for a classic Napa cab of this quality.

Had this as part of a wine flight at a restaurant last night, and this was the standout of the three wines I tasted. It is a Bordeaux style wine, with Cabernet the dominant varietal. Cassis and dark fruit with some smokey aromas. Complex and balanced, with a nice long finish.

Earthy and rustic, with nice aromas of fruit and spices. Moderately tannic, with a nice finish. Good bargain at about $8.

Ripe, fruity and young, this Spanish blend is highly enjoyable. The nose is intense, with lots of cherry and berry aromas. Medium body, with nice soft tannins. Great for a barbecue or party. Bought this for under $8 which makes it a great value for an everyday wine.

Intense and concentrated, with a bit of oak. Nice aromas of blackberries and cassis. This would stand up well to a grilled fillet or spicy Cajun dishes. Excellent value at around $15.
