    jmd477's Review:

This is a pleasant and affordable Beaujolais. My biggest gripe with the grape is that it seemed a touch to watered-down for my taste. Perhaps I made the mistake of pairing this wine with a New York Strip. Next time I'll try it with chicken or perhaps turkey for Thanksgiving.Still, the wine is smooth and enjoyable.

Hoping to cure myself of my fear of twist-off bottles, I figured I'd give this white a try. This price was right, and I was in a bit of a rush to pick something. This wine proved to be a disappointment. Too sweet, too overpowering, and with a strange aftertaste. For the money (which wasn't very much) there are far better wines available...

This affordable French white definitely had not-so-subtle hints of citrus, and it paired well with some seared scallops. Perhaps a tad too sweet for my tastes (I prefer my whites to be as dry as possible), but with the right meal this wine could be a winner. In addition, it would work quite well as a sipping wine...a cordial or even aperitif.

Very enjoyable. For the money, this is a decent Bordeaux that went quite well with a delicious New York Strip and some spaghetti squash that I had last night.Featuring a blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, the wine has a pleasant, slightly smokey flavor.I have no doubt that there are far better Bordeaux's out there, but for the money (I paid $7.99 at a local wine store) this was worth it and quite enjoyable...

This wine took a while to "open up," but by the time I was finishing my second glass, I was pleased.Dry with hints of berry, this red went quite well with a Beef Roast with potatoes and asparagus.I paid $9.99 for the bottle at a local wine store; a great buy for a decent French red.

    jmd477's Review:

A very interesting wine. I was intrigued by the blend of three different grapes, though it seemed to me that it taste most like a Cabernet Sauvignon.I sipped a glass of this prior to sitting down to dinner. Not much of a sipping wine as it was a little heavy and rather dry, with definite hints of chocolate and coffee. That said, I then paired it with a DelMonico steak, some vegetables and salad. It worked quite well and complimented the steak. This is a good value for the money and an affordable alternative to a good Cab. Of course, one could also justify paying a few dollars more for a decent Cab instead of this.

More of a sipping wine than anything else. Paired this with a turkey meatloaf, some sweet potatoes, and broccoli and cheese...A nice, strong flavor, but too sweet...

I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least! Was at the local wine shop, looking for a particular Pinot Noir which they were out of. I opted for this instead, and it went perfect with my Indian takeout. Not too sweet, just the right texture, a very good Pinot Noir for the money!

    jmd477's Review:

I wasn't expecting much, finding this wine in a bargain bin for $5.99 at a local package store. I was incredibly impressed. Zesty and tangy, with a smokey flavor that almost tasted like a Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine was a winner!I made a dish of Penne with a spicy homemade tomato sauce and chicken sausage. This wine perfectly complimented the penne. Will definitely try it again...and soon!

A very good white for the money. Enjoyed this wine in Montreal last year while having a delicious fresh seafood meal. The two complimented each other quite well!
