Dark berries, with hints of caramel, plum, and coffee. The front is a little mysterious as it keeps the flavor back until it hits the mid-palette. Then it opens up and deliverers delicious flavors of cherries, plum, oak, and smoke. Wonderful wine at an excellent value!

Light plum in color with smooth gradient from edge to center. Scents of raspberry and spice with hints of alcohol. Subtle up front with a mid palette of raspberry and a hint of cherry. Smooth finish that last for quite a while. Overall this wine is nicely balanced.

Light red in color with a very even color all the way to center. Scents of berries and a hint of the forest floor. Sour cherries and well balanced that lingers for several minutes. Subtle yet tingly acidity that dances around the mouth. Very nice wine.

Deep ruby color. Wonderful aromas of strawberries with hints of coffee and pipe tobacco. Taste of strawberry, plum, and sour cherry and chocolate. Very well balanced flavor and acidity.

Wonderfully bright red fruit up front (cherry, raspberry, and strawberry), Clean and crisp on the finish the acidity is well balanced throughout.I hope they are able to maintain the level of quality in these wines after the buyout.

Had a chance to taste this again recently (October 2009) and was very impressed. Delicious fruit up front (dark cherries and a little plum) with subtle yet firm tannin on the finish. Balance was excellent and it drank well over two days.Can be hard to find but worth the effort.

Rose to purple in color with a fairly sharp color gradient. Wonderful aromas of strawberry and cherries on the nose balanced with hints of earthiness. Clean up front tastes with those dark cherries and spices up front but lingering throughout the palette. Very smooth and well balanced. (note: tasted after aeration from a Venturi)

Chocolate on the nose with a a slight hint of damp vegetation. light fruit on the front with chocolate coming through on the mid palette and finish with some woodiness and tobacco. Crisp acidity towards the end helps to provide overall balance.

Excellent color, golden hues that remind one of the lightest honey. The theme continues as you take the first sip but falls quickly to a delicious crispness that lingers on the palette. Not overly oakey or buttery - a nice change for a Napa Chardonnay.
