Bought at WalgreenS! in the select section for Allen's 50th. Enjoyed immensely with steak. Deep, smooth, sweet, fruit, delicious! Wine Spectator ReviewAn interesting melange of currant, prune, flowers and hints of cardamom on the nose follow through to a full body, where the fruit turns to fresh black currant, coating the firm tannins and giving a long, fresh finish of fruit and mineral. Superfresh and well-structured. Delicious now, but best to wait. Best after 2010.Wine Tasting NotesA well-structured, complex, elegant, and velvety wine, with intense ruby red color. It has a warm and spicy bouquet, with aromas of raisins. This wine is traditionally consumed with game, roasted and grilled meats, casseroles, etc
