This wine is not your usual cabernet. The textures are smooth and the flavors are savory. Subtle peppers and herbs, like sage and thyme, give this wine a wonderful power and a disposition to fine foods. A nice cherry tobacco can be found in the mid pallette.

Big berry fruit panoplies; it's all there: raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry... Subtle white peppers and late in the glass, some sweet barnyard flavors like straw and rich, wet, dark earth.

I love this wine for any time of the day. The big minerals and pastoral flavors delicately play on the tongue and refresh you with big flowery bouquets. Delightful!

This humble winery is devoted to honest winemaking, which shows in all of their wines. The clean tastes testify the organic nature of the winery. But even if you don't know all of that, the wines speak for themselves. Richard the Lion-hearted is a bold claret with delicate red fruits and a deep complexity that transforms the wine from big and powerful at times, to subtle and understated. Very smooth. Great with most red meats and could do well with pork.

Complexity keeps you coming back again and again to the glass and each time, it's completely different! Butterscotch nose along with rich minerals. Delightfully balanced acidity. A work of art.

This wine, with all its mature tannins, must be drunk with food. Its spiciness and big whopping black fruits need something to bite into. Red pepper sauces do perfectly.
