On the nose.. Wet forest with some subtle gamey meat mix with dense fruit and spice. Opulent, full bodied and tightly wound in the mouth with the lingering of pepperiness on the pallate through a long finish.

Drank a bottle of this at Del Posto in NYC. This was my long awaited entry into Barolo and good god.... Give me more! On the nose were floral aromas of violets and roses to go with notes of fig and faint leather. Fills the mouth wonderfully with a long finish that almost keeps going until the morning after!

I made the mistake of ordering this wine at a restaurant and not allowing it enough breathing time. It was just starting to get amazing right at the end. Give this wine a good hour or two to get moving. The results are well worth it. Dark fruits and spice big on the nose with some leather gaining momentum as the wine opens up. Fills the mouth with some nice Jam-iness and long lingering finish.
