Well built 83. Probably the Bordeaux of the vintage. Takes hours to open up to its potential currently.

Not the best Scharzhofberger out there. Very elegant and precise, but lacking the verve, minerality, and acid to make it outstanding.

Holy spicy complex goodness. Leathery with indian spices and a meaty, smoked nuance. All bow to Bonneau. Who else could make wines like this in 1991 in the Southern Rhone???

Superb and showing what it's got. Ripe gamey and ever so seductive as Hermitage should be.

Barrel Tasting: This is why I love richebourg so very much. Pure, powerful, impeccably balanced.

Tasted with Etienne Grivot from an untouched bottle in the cellar. Stunning nose for meditation. Right at its peak.

Wow is a I can say. We sure miss the Jean Gros domaine. Michel's wines don't quite have the fireworks that they did under Jean.

A stunning example of Madame Bize-Leroy's winemaking skill. Impeccably balanced, rich and complex. Long finish with slightly angular tannin.
