    From the Beverage Testing Institute World Wine Championship:85 points. Silver medal. Deep garnet violet color. Juicy aromas of cassis, blueberry pie, angel food cake, and menthol tobacco follow through on a round entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with tart berry skin, mineral, and nut skin notes. Finishes with a firm, drying, dusty tannin fade. (tasted on Jun-29-2009)

    From the Beverage Testing Institute World Wine Championships:86 Points. Silver Medal. Golden yellow color. Toasted nut, baked apple, and lemon balm aromas follow through on a soft, round entry to a dryish medium body with green pineapple, lime rind and mineral notes. Finishes with a crisp, tart mealy apple fade. (tasted on Mar-02-2009)

    From the Beverage Testing Institute World Wine Championships:90 Points. Gold Medal. Garnet, violet color. Aromas of ripe mulberries and melted toffee have a hint of grilled red pepper and vanilla and follow through on a bright entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with tart apple skin, custard, and pomegranate notes. Finishes with a smooth, even nutshell-like tannin fade. A balanced, Old World styled syrah. (tasted on Jun-01-2009)
