The nose was full of plums, strawberries, chocolate and rose petals. Thick and full-bodied, the plummy fruit flavours come through slowly with great tannins following close behind. Very long, I thought this was just stunning (with a price to match).

Blackcurrant and cherry, some acidity and length, really rather good for what is billed as an entry-level wine.

Honey, orange and grapefruit, fruity and long with slight acidity. Good stuff, but their ordinary chardonnay is nicer.

Initial acidity is followed by a surprisingly long and delicate flavour, with citrus, gooseberry and honey. Very nice.

Wonderful buttery flavour infused with citrus, pineapple on the nose, dry and well balanced with a great mouth feel. Proves that chardonnay can be subtle and interesting.

Crystal clarity in the glass with lemons and lychees on the nose and a zingy grapefruit flavour. Eminently quaffable.

Fruity and light, easy drinking. There was a hint of bottle taint on mine, but that disappeared after leaving it to breathe. Very enjoyable.

Disappointing. The nose and flavour faded in minutes, leaving a dull, tired wine. I think this bottle was past its best.
