September 2009
A fruity nose of predominantly ripe plums and cherries with a hint of wet soil. A nice structure with a good balance of soft tannins, medium acidity and a moderate body, with a nice long finish. A pretty, medium bright, ruby red color. A great Chianti for the price of $13 to 14 a bottle. Should be drinkablr through at least 2012 or 13.

What can I say? I purchased 4 bottles of this in a mixed case based upon a recent tasting I attended, that was a mistake. This wine is made from overripe grapes and as a result it has a big nose full of fruit (the good part of the wine) and a cloying feel in the mouth that makes it difficult to consume after the first glass. I would not buy it again.

A pretty typical Shiraz, lots of red and black fruit on the nose and mouth, a little hotter than many though. Nice structure, drink now. Nothing special, but a good value at the 10 to 11 bones it's selling for.
