While there's nothing wrong with this spirit, the stated goals are "reduce juniper flavor [almost completely, incidentally] and add citrus notes". So, basically, it's a flavored vodka. Not my thing, but inoffensive for what it is.

Deep burgandy color. Slightly astringent, but in a pleasant way. Cherries, I think?

A good solid, neutral gin, without too much of any particular botanical or citrus. I like it, among other purposes, for a drink I call the Stiles (4 parts Plymouth, 1 part Lillet blanc, 1 part St. Germain liqueur). Irrelevant anecdote: the excellent Eastern Standard restaurant and bar in Boston refers to this as "the Spirit of Plymouth" on their menus.

One of the best carefully-crafted gins on the market today. The cucumber flavors come through well in a variety of cocktails (try 3 parts Hendrick's to two parts Domaine de Canton - not original, from the label of the latter) and compliment the more typical juniper flavors well.

It's hard to speak to this wines flavor notes, as overwhelmed as they were by its acidity. Perhaps I'll come back and update this after taking zapfdingbat's advice on the 2004 vintage.
