    geneyus' Review:

Wonderfully complex with extra long finish. The fruitiness of syrah tempered by grenache, producing something really special. Wonderful with cheese, steak or pork.

    geneyus' Review:

Typical Bordeaux. Full-bodied and smooth with an adequate finish. Tannins are not overwhelming. Black fruit predominates. Excellent with pork, beef and tangy medium soft to hard cheese. Excellent value!

My wife and I love this wine. But then, we enjoy all of the different styles that Domaine Cheze comes out with. Its one of the more consistent winemakers that we know. The Cuvee des Anges exemplifies the best that the syrah grape can achieve. The nose is, for want of a better term, "long-range"... meaning when opened by the sommelier 3 seats away, I could smell it! Bursting with black fruit with some spicyness and smoke. Rich tannins and a finish that doesn't end. Excellent with a prime rib or roast lamb and tasty cheese.

Medium bodied, which is rather surprising in a pinot, but I really love. Lots of red fruit but can detect bits of black. A versatile pinot since it has enough strength to pair with a nice prime rib but still retaining the delicacy to go with chicken or pork. That being said, it was excellent when I had it, but would probably be better if decanted for 1 to 2 hours, which is what I'm planning to do the next time I open a bottle.

Decanted 2 hours before serving. Both my wife & I love this bottle, very fruity with medium body. Just enough tannins for me with cherry notes. Had it with a nice Ox Tongue Lengua, a family recipe which completed a wonderful meal
