didn't love this... in general I love most all Cotes du Rhone but this one was leggy, slightly dry with a bitey finish... tannins obviously in tact... 14.5% alch content... yikes... I'll finish the bottle but won't open another.

I love this wine. Great price range. I'm very particular in that I only drink reds, much prefer French to California (which in my humble opinion are typically much drier than I care for). It's full, hearty, fruity..jammy even and has a very soft yet lingering finish - critical for me. I'm currently hunting down a case to enjoy over the next few years. I have enjoyed several bottles of the 2005 over this past year as I have introduced friends to the world of reds. I think it's a nice easy start for inexperienced or apphrensive beginners. 2003 and 2004 appear to have been good vintages as well... I'm looking forward to trying them next.
