Wonderful, powerful, toffee in a glass. Long length. I literally travelled the planet to buy this wine (tried to buy in London, acquired in California, shipped home via New York). Worth it. Always the last bottle of the evening - nothing afterwards will stand up to it.

How nice was that? Served to my parents at a special family gathering. My mother loved it so much she demanded to know how much it cost, and, when I for once relented and told her, spat it back into the glass and said she wasn't worthy. She is, and so is the wine - fantastic fruit, silky tanins, good length - does exactly what it says on the tin. Highly recommended.

Fantastic! If I hadn't been lucky enough to have once tasted the 1967, then the greatest sweet wine I could have ever imagned. Lots of apricots on the nose, creme brulee flavours, and long, long, long. Looking forward to the next one...

Lovely - classic rioja, with lots of mouth-filling fruit. Terrific, enticing nose, that doesn't lead to a disppointment. Best wine of 20 tasted on the night (including a couple at twice theprice).

Pleasant easy-drinking red, probably best with food -roasted meats perhaps. Medium bodied, slightly sweet and well-balanced - lots of tasty fruit. Good value.
