    easterner1's Review:

When we recently tasted our way through Oregon, the Roosevelt stood out among its high-end peers. The bouquet is lovely, and the mouthfeel, the balance, the structure, and the finish are as good as any we tasted. The red fruit plays against orange peel in a feminine style with a long finish. Costly, maybe, but worth it!

This is a multipurpose white wine, one that has Northern Italian origins, but is a big improvement over most Pinot Gris. It mates with most vegetarian foods. It has a long, luscious midpalate, with lime and peach overtones. It improves as it gets less cold and, though quite dry, gives an impression of sweetness. A nice, nice wine, if it can be found.

    easterner1's Review:

We had this in their tasting room in August. I admit we liked all of their reds, even their Merlots, but this stood out as the best we tasted that day. along with their 2006 Klipsun. We'll like this even more in five years....

We had this is October 2009, at which point the wine was just starting to go downhill. The beauty of the wine was still evident, and the complexity was there. Drink now.

Silky mouthfeel, plums featured, understated, but not very complex.

A gorgeous wine, from the cherry and vanilla nose to the full, voluptuous mouthfeel, to the lingering finish. Cheap at $65.00. I can see how it won "Best of the Best" at a Paris blind tasting for each of two separate vintages.

A voluptuous Zinfandel. It has a big nose, a velvety mouthfeel, it offers white pepper against dark and red fruit. The baance of fruit, acidity, and tannin was impeccable. It was still great 5 years after bottling.

Girard artistry 2005 has a lovely, lovely nose. A medium mouthfeel, with a nice, if not extravagant finish. The flavor mixes red and black fruits. Probably worth its 90 rating.

Owen Sullivan The Prisoner 2007 is a Zinfandel based wine that is big and generous. Cab and Syrah give body and finesse to round out the Zin flavors. An effective blend, one that could improve with 3 years of further aging (October 2009).
