This is a stylish, classically structured wine, possessed of expressive aromatics, supple texture and great finesse. Alluring red cherry and truffle notes on the nose lead to vibrant layers of ripe fruit supported by elegant, fine grained tannins that linger on the slightly fruity finish. Grapes were harvested at peek ripeness and sorted by hand in the vineyard and cellar before undergoing 45 days of maceration, with carefully monitored pump overs to extract optimal balance of color, flavor and tannin. The lots were kept separate throughout fermentation in small thermo-regulated vats before being barreled down in 30% new oak barrels for 16 to 18 months of aging. I would drink this again.

More modern than old world. Rich black fruit, nice acidity, medium to big. Great with red pasta dishes and tuscan style beef (rosemary & garlic)...Had it at Pepolino NYC.

The anise finish is quite nice. Different than what you are used to drinking. Medium body and aromatic. WIll drink again.

First Australian wine I really enjoyed. Complex and elegant with well balanced tannins. Should age well. Drank it Thanksgiving 2008 with Tuna Tartare, Pork Chops with Gorgonzola sauce, and Shitaki Mushroom Risotto. Will def buy again.

Love this stuff. I found it to be dense and chewy, definitely full bodied. Drank it without food, no problem. Definitely drink again. I enjoyed it more than Villacreces.

Solid Bordeaux for 11.99. Primarily Merlot, very approachable now, notes of cherry, little wood, nice acidity and soft tannins. Can be had on its own. Will buy again.

The great value has a nose filled with intense cherry aromas. The complex, gutsy flavors include intense cherry, coffee, leather, licorice and baking spices all followed by a long spicy finish. For my taste, this is truly a great value. Why spend 30-40 when this is just as good. A great find.

"The 2004 Tinto is 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Merlot fermented in barrel and aged in French oak for 16 months. Inky purple, it has an expressive bouquet of mocha/espresso, pain grille, graphite, wild blueberrys, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a full-bodied, full-flavored, plush wine with layers of spicy black fruits, impeccable balance, and a long, pure finish. The tannins are well concealed but this superb effort should evolve for 4-6 years and drink well through 2027." WA 95 points. I love this stuff!!
