Delicious in July 09. Freshly balanced acidity and toasty mineral notes, this is a tasty wine at a good age.

cracking young sharp Sancerre, delicious crispy light apple with subtle hints of oak and lovely zippy tingly fruit. A slippery treat.

    cormski's Review:

Fantastic, hints of lychees and apple, beautifully light and crisp, slightly smoked; served with pork and lightly spiced mashed potato (with a teaspoon of salsa de chilli morita) - I thought this a superb wine; ubercool. Around the 20 mark, it's cracking value and still on the rise...

    cormski's Review:

yummy, deep golden colour, very complex & rich, lots of character - could almost be a dessert wine it's so thick - although not overly sweet - a goosebumpy delight, tastes very fresh - much more oompf than you expect from your average white. Recommend thorough chilling and a decanter to bring out the full tingle down your spine. Drink now; don't let it methylate...

    cormski's Review:

This wine is like a favourite weeks holiday in the south of France a few years ago, but distilled in a bottle, totally off the beaten track, cheap, and "just perfect", not through arduous planning, but because all the right circumstances came together... uncork for an olfactory assault - not the most sophisticated, but far better than some of the more expensive relatives in the region - for me this is what personifies real French wine, on the ground.2000 and 2001 are consistent; very dark, complex, structured and full of beans - a spicy edge and lots of body, just great with a hank of bloody Rost Biff. Remember Agincourt? Well it's half-way across the country; so don't waste any time and get your lips around this!
