Added Apr 25, 2010 at 6:15pmCedar and deep berry fruit on the nose, bramble fruit and chewy tannins kept me interested, and the semi-spicy finish was nice.

Added Apr 25, 2010 at 6:13pmWow. This is a gorgeous wine. Been cellaring it since it was purchased in '08. Has both power and finesse. Deep cherry aromas explode out of the glass, palate has bright cherry, earth, and a bit of toast. Great mouthfeel (14.5%). Finish goes on forever. Wish I had a case of this to enjoy over time.

Added Jan 23, 2010 at 8:48amWhat an elegant Zinfandel. Usually, Zin is an indulgence for me, when I want something fruity, chocolately, and delicious. This Zin surprised me because it was very refined. Lots of dark fruit flavors, as well as some smoke, it also had a great minerality that I'd never before experienced in a Zinfandel. Glad I have 3 more bottles of this to enjoy over time. It is fantastic!

Added Oct 1, 2008 at 7:23pmThis is absolutely the most disgusting wine I can ever remember tasting! I was horrified that they called this a Pinot Noir. AVOID! It was utterly un-drinkable. We poured out the bottle after each having a sip and making retching sounds.

Added Apr 16, 2010 at 9:14pmReally enjoyed this! Very well-balanced. Concentrated cassis and berry with a hint of cherry. Nice tannins and moderate alcohol, medium-long finish. Not as subtle or refined as some Gigondas, but I enjoyed nonetheless!

Added Jan 23, 2010 at 8:51amMy first Lemberger! It was okay - I can't say that I'll actively seek this varietal out, but it was fun to try nonetheless. This wine had some funk and sourness on both nose and palate, with some red fruit poking through. Wished I had it with food - it likely would have been more enjoyable.

Added Nov 28, 2009 at 2:02pmNice drinker. Not a fruit bomb - balanced by some mineral and spice. Very high in alcohol: 16.5%.

Added Jul 19, 2009 at 11:01amUnlike any other Gewurz I've tasted. Color is pure gold - surprisingly dark. Nose is honey. Nicely balanced and easy to sip.
Added Feb 16, 2009 at 2:24pmGorgeous Gewurz. The color of gold, with a lovely floral nose. Peach and apricot on the palate with a fine minerality. Very nice as an aperitif to start a meal, but has the structure to stand up to food as well.

Added Nov 24, 2009 at 12:36pmThink this bottle a friend brought was not cellared properly - was about 5 years old. Sort of a fruit bomb with no tannins to speak of - had one glass and passed on the rest. Would have liked to taste it in its prime, but won't seek this out for the price.

Added Nov 24, 2009 at 12:33pmDefinitely decant if you're drinking now. Highly acidic, which detracts from nose and palate. It calmed down after about 45 mins and was quite enjoyable.
