Finally getting round to drinking this bottle to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday as it should require a special occasion to bring something like this out. Its been sitting in the sideboard for over 3.5 years and ther wait was worth it and can see what the fuss is all about. Beautifully deep golden amber in appearance, it just melts effortlessly in the mouth but packs a big vanilla, toast, brioche and a slight tropical hint. Its an expensive one but worth it.

Wasn't expecting much as its fairly mass produced but this is cheap, cheerful and very nice. Light straw, tropical fruit but rather creamy. Has the qualities I like in a Chardonnay, not too acidic and full of fruit.

Bitter, spicy, sharp but long lasting cherry and raspberry. Its OK but I wouldn't be buying it again.

This is the kind of bottle which makes England noticed as a real competitor in the sparkling wine game. Although pale straw in appearance, its very light, sweet, but very fresh. Has a brief sharpness of citrus before a big peachy and sweet green apple biscuit finish. Excellent stuff.

Now this was a surprise. I've had Tesco Chardonnay before and its not been that good so supermarket brands are usually off my list but this is brilliant. Golden amber, smooth tropical taste with butterness throughout. Easily drinkable and doesn't cost a lot either.

This is surprisingly very, very good. Beautifully golden, heavy initial sweetness before apple, pear and tropical fruit kick in and a silky smooth finish. Very much recommended.

Tangy and spicy. This is very good stuff. The dark fruit is not too strong and complimented by earth, bark and a hint of tar. Tannins are strong so will leave your mouth very dry. Overall a very nice glass of claret for the price.

This is one seriously dark, brooding wine. Packs a bold fruity punch immediately with dark cherry, plum and blackberry. Tar, tobacco and spice are slight and subtle and the tannins are quite strong. This is a real lip drying experience.

Camel Valley Red 2007
Quite light and summery but not for those who like their wine fruity. Its very fresh while young but does have a rather earthy quality, smoke, coffee but the fruit taste is limited to a subtle cherry towards the finish. I like it but can imagine some wouldn't and why.

Really quite surpprised how much I enjoyed this. The best quality is just how fresh this wine feels. Sweet green apple and melon, pale straw in appearance but very very fresh. And for the price too, its brilliant. I usually don't like Pinot Grigio but am certainly making an exception for this one.
