    chadrich's Review:

This is a huge glass of wine for the price. Spicy, rich and full bodied. Notes of cinnamon and robust black fruits. Alcohol is notable on the palate. Finish goes on and on.

Wow! Still drinking great in 2008. A beautiful rich, well made bottle of wine. Velvety on the palate with well balanced acidity and tannins. A mouthfull of black and red fruits with some tobacco and leather notes. Finish is long and smooth. Nose is robust and inviting.

  • chadrich's Review:

Good solid wine with rich round mouthfeel. Tannins are present but behaved. Fruit is black cherry, juicy berries, hint of coffee. Nose is a little unusual at first, but not off-putting. Decant and give some time to aerate.

Good value for the price, though quality can vary between bottles. A good intro to PS, this one isn't quite as bold and tannic as higher end choices. But still very enjoyable with smoot mouthfeel and cherry tobacco notes.

A solid wine, slightly bigger than I typically expect from Oregon. Well integrated and drinkable.

    chadrich's Review:

Thick, rich, heavy wine. Full of berries and moderate+ tannins; has a little of the jamminess that's more typical of Australia. Won a recent 8 wine blind taste-off among a crowd of 12 wine buffs and wine newbies, so has the ability to please a crowd.

One of my favorite sub-$20 choices. Big and full with loads of rich jammy fruit. Well balanced with tannins and alcohol both in-check.
