    ccarpita's Review:

Very minerally and a bit sweet, this is a fun and decent wine for catering, picnics, camping, and 5 second shots of laughing with old friends. Oh black box, you melodious monolith of mirth.

Very robust nose and some interesting flavors, smooth wood flavors, with a dry finish.

  • ccarpita's Review:

A little bit sharp with the acids, but there are some really interesting fruit and herbal notes just under the surface, with great tobacco and chocolate notes. I get basil, rosemary, and apple on the mouth.

  • ccarpita's Review:

Rich vanilla oak texture without overdoing it, a little bit of sweetness with dark berry notes. Black pepper and a hint of clove and mint, with some chocolate and tobacco.

  • ccarpita's Review:

This wine has a lot of fun peachy flavors with a good acidic backbone. There's a decent amount of sugar to quench the tooth. I could drink half a pitcher of this stuff easily.

    ccarpita's Review:

Like a big pile of rusty nails with a slap of scathing tartness in the face, it's really something awesome. Hints of smoked deli meats.

  • DMZ Shiraz 2008

    $14.99

    ccarpita's Review:

Kind of fruit-bomby, a bit smokey and spicy, I didn't enjoy this too much, but the balance is there.

  • ccarpita's Review:

Raspberry, blueberry, and mango treats are dancing in this wine. A sweet celebration in your mouth. Some citric acid and underdeveloped tannins, and it seems to fade quickly.

  • ccarpita's Review:

Popcorn-like and bestows a visceral joy like a beef patty at a delicatessen. Some interesting fruits like pear and pomegranate, with a buttery polish. This wine has earned its place in the exclusive league of the Yummers collection.

  • ccarpita's Review:

Really soft and buttery texture, with essences of caramel and toffee. Just a little too rich for me, but I appreciate the complexity and acidity.
