Added Dec 25, 2009 at 9:38pmServed with beef tenderloin roast for Christmas dinner. Color is traditional garnet with just a touch of brown around the edges. Aromas of fudge and black cherry predominate. Body is full but restrained; bottle was decanted for one hour before serving and made noticeable difference. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, moderately tannic, and definitely not overpowering. Somewhat jammy and continues the blackcherry theme with a bit of cassis at the end. Cab Franc lends some polish at the end.

Signorello Cab 1998
Added Dec 11, 2009 at 11:39pmThis is a pretty fat and tannic cab. Traditional flavors of anise, currant and plum predominate. Still a little green around the edges but I think that's about as good as we can hope for. Opened it December 2009 and I don't think more time in the bottle will help much.

Added Nov 29, 2008 at 8:08amOpened this up for Thanksgiving and was disappointed. The alcohol really hits you up front before the fruit takes over. As usual the finish was looooooooong and fairly spicy. I will open my second bottle with something a bit spicier next time.
