    brooklynwino's Review:

A complex nose of red berry fruit, leather, some meaty savory aromas, spice and vanilla. On the palate, the fruit tannins are very well integrated creating a silky smooth mouth feel. Secondary notes of caramel and raisins on the palate. There is still a healthy acidity and soft tannins on palate. I wish I had another bottle to lay down for another 5-8 years.

    brooklynwino's Review:

Apparently a little strange that it is coming from the Tokyo prefecture. Nose is a little odd too. Pineapple, pear and something copper? Tangy but a little robust. Umami.

An unexpected caramel nose with a touch of mushroom. The palate was creamy, chocolate-y with a finish of apple juice. this is lightly sparkling with a good acidity. Not too sweet because the acidity is so high.

    brooklynwino's Review:

Delicate strawberry and unripe peach on the nose. Delicate fruit on the palate. Good acidity and a touch of spice on palate. Tangy, clean finish with a light crispness you would expect.

A bit of a muted nose, but there were some black fruit and savory spices here, particularly oregano. A bit tight and could benefit with some more time in the bottle as this is a baby.

A tiny bit vegetal on the nose with some bitter chocolate, coffee and toast with blackberry jam on it. I also found some crispy animal skin here as well with a touch of sweetness on the finish. Lovely.

    brooklynwino's Review:

Floral with black fruit on the nose intersected with some black spice. Tangy acidity with some bitter black fruit which I always enjoy. I also detected some buttered italian bread for some reason. For 14.7% alcohol, I found the wine to be mostly balanced.

Strange canned veggie aroma including the tin. A bit boring on the palate. Soft on palate with some berry fruit there, but a bit to short on finish. Some spice and tomato paste were found as well.

  • brooklynwino's Review:

A decidedly intense vanilla and cola nose along with black fruit on the palate. Smooth upon entry and finishes a touch hot. Spice and black fruit and vanilla on the finish as well. Usually I wouldn't go for this style of wine, but I was into it the night I tasted it. Palates DO change, but perhaps I was just craving something sweet.

  • brooklynwino's Review:

Smoke and tar and coffee and spice envelop this wine. A solid wine for sure and certainly easy on the pocket book.
