Tasted with 3 other S.B. that cost slightly more - Geyser Peak, Ch. Ste Michelle- nice nose - little fruit. Crisp and bright with citrus notes. Preferred this to the others at $8.

Pale straw.Fruity, Chalk on the nose. Fruity, round and well-balanced. Very appealing. Great value!

Write your review here, and rate the wine from 1 to 5 glasses above. Clear, pale strqaw color, medium body. Flinty, some floral/fruity tones. Tasted apricots and peaches. bright and crisp with a wonderful lingering taste of stone fruit. Great summer wine and terrific value at 9.99/bottle.

Not much bouquet - flinty, dull. Acidic with very little fruit expression. Short finish. Was disappointed with this wine - was expecting more fruit and some oak. Very flat.

We visited this small winery in Buellton, Ca and had a wonderful experience! They are a horse farm/winery which produces some very nice wines and excellent olive oil as well. The 2008 Chardonnay was crisp and bright with a nice fruity nose with some floral tones. Went great with the lunch we had there. We also got an opportunity to tour the stables and speak with the owners themselves - the Lockwoods - great people - gorgeous farm! If you visit the Santa Ynez/Solvang area, don't miss this.

You can find outstanding chardonnays in the $10 range but this isn't one of them. Nothing complex, no oak (I like oak). For a couple dollars more there are tons of great chardonnays out there. Meriden's chardonnay is a much better wine for about the same price.
