The coloring is extremely dark and inky, allow 10 minutes to open up. This wine has intense notes of bright cherries, black berries and oak. The front has flavors of dark, juicy cherries, vanilla from new french oak, with slight hints of chocolate, dark cassis and blueberries. This is a strong, oaky, full bodied wine that is very well structured and finishes off with velvety, yet not overbearing tannins and a lingering finish.

Deep-Inky red in color, this wine has aromas of black cherry, vanilla and spicy oak. This wine drinks as smoothly as any cab I've ever enjoyed. This wine will immediately coat the mouth with dark, ripe fruit and vanilla from french oak, along with notes of spice. Can you say TANNINS? You'll be tasting the back-end of this wine for weeks. Enjoy with a juicy steak.

This Joel Gott has notes of lemon and lime on the nose. In the mouth there are copious amounts lemon zest and lime that later open up into slight honey notes. This wine tastes like it has been oaked, however it is 100% stainless. A very chardonnay-like, strong, tangy finish, Good for a California Sauv Blanc, which are not my favorite.

Clifford Bay has become my go to Sauvignon Blanc, as I am recovering Kim Crawford addict. Hailing from the renowned Awatere Valley, adding tropical flavors along with crisp and smooth minerality. This wine has room-filling aromas of guava, grapefruit and hints of moist grass. On the palate this wine's bursts with flavors of tropical and citrus fruits and has a balanced amount of mouth watering acidity. More on the "guava-side" of sauvignon blancs, this one has become one of my daily go-to's. Enjoy.

This wine is a little too young to be fairly judged, however this is a fantastic Napa Cab at a great price. The bouquet of this wine shows dark cherries and plums, as well as hints of sweet caramel. On the palate this wine is DARK, black currants over dark fruit, these flavors lead into intense, smokey coffee and chocolate in the middle. The finish is extremely intense with heavy mouth-coating tannins that will be with you for the next couple days.

I love Malbecs and with that said, I am extremely particular with this elevation loving grape of Argentinian fame (formerly of Bordeax). Benmarco is a purplish wine that has aromas consisting of black cherry, licorice and dark coffee. The flavors start with blueberry, chocolate and jam. This is a medium bodied wine that has a chewy jamminess that is balanced out with a lush acidity. This wine starts out with heavy flavors and ends light, a very nice wine that can you can drink today without cellaring - like most Malbecs.

Although fairly new to the Torrontes varietal, I have tasted 20+ of them, and I must say that this is my favorite. If you aren't familiar, Torrontes are like a mix between Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. This has a floral nose, with hints of honey-dew, citrus and a little spice. It has flavors of peach, tangerine and honey that are accompanied with mouth-watering acidity (much like a Sauv Blanc, with Viognier flavors). The finish is refreshing and tangy, should go great fatty fish.

A nice middle ground for people looking for a Sauvignon Blanc that is between a Marlborough and Sonoma. This has aromas of stonefruit and light guava. This wine is simply refreshing, flavors of tropical fruits that are washed down with a brisk, mouth-watering acidity that begs you to chug this wine. I kid, however this wine could be a great "porch-pounder" during the hot summer months. This wine's citrus filled finish will not let you down. Not as sweet and tropical as NZ SB nor is it too grassy and peppery like a CA SB. Cheers.

Upon first glance you will catch its great regal packaging. This has very little on the nose, but you'll find it to be slightly floral with green fruit notes. In the mouth you'll find it to have pear, green apple and a some honey along with a great minerality that balances it out. One of my favorite Pinot Grigios, especially at this price point. Enjoy this summer.
