    WineFlair's Review:

Wonderful Pinot from the Otega region of New Zealand. Unfined and unfiltered, this wine is full of bright cherry and berry flavors, with a hint of smoke, soft tannin and great balance. A tremendous food wine.

    WineFlair's Review:

A very different blend of grapes; ripe and spicy, and while not quite as bold as the G, has its own unique charm with a bit of smoke and spice and a satisfying, very persistent finish.

A lot of the zest of a New Zealand SB, without that over-the-top grapefruit flavor and bell pepper aroma that is off-putting to many. Fresh with a flinty-grassy middle, and a moderately long finish.

    WineFlair's Review:

An extraordinary good Chardonnay. Coming from me that says a lot, as I'm not much a fan of Chardonnay outside Chablis and Burgundy except for the odd and decidedly unoaked version from California or Australia. This one has just enough oak to soften it, and it's so well integrated that the oak just whispers to you. There's a hint of butter but just, allowing the acid to come through and keep your mouth refreshed. Classic citrus flavors and a long finish. Truly delicious stuff! I don't do numbers but I'll say probably the best under $20 Chardonnay I've had in 5 years.

Outstanding. This is a really big, full-bodied wine with layers of black cherry, blueberry, plum and cassis; perfectly balanced and nicely structured with a long and surprisingly soft- that is, non-tannic - finish. I finished my pour and asked for another!

  • WineFlair's Review:

A wonderful and unique wine names for vineyards at the seacoast (Itsas) and in the mountains (Mendi). Fresh floral aromas and flavors of pear, white peach, citrus and grapefruit; well-balanced, with a refreshing and persistent finish.

A great bargain for an average retail under $20. Corvina, Rondinella and a touch of Sangiovese, 30% of the grapes are held back, dried, and vinified seperately, then added back to the base wine in the style of Amarone. Plummy blackfruit, leather and spice with a long and glorious finish.

This wine is made from Godello, sometimes incorrectly - as HERE - identified as Verdelho, a grape that grows in Portugal and is associated with Madeira wines. Godello (Go-day-oh) is the native white-wine grape of Valdeorras, in the Galician DO of Spain. This wonderful, mineral-y, medium-body white wine reminds of Chablis but with the crisply acidic snap of a NZ Sauvigon Blanc. Citrus, green apple and a touch of spice. Great food wine and a nice change from a legion of Albarino whites from nearby Rias Baixas.

Fresh and crisp, strawberry aromas and nice, soft bubbles. Easy drinking under $12...drink cold and enjoy. A great value from Iberia.

  • WineFlair's Review:

One of the best bottles of <$10 wine I have ever tasted. Crisp and refreshingly acidic, mellow lemon and green able flavors, great aromatics and a long, lush finish. Remarkably good and for this price, a huge accomplishment.
