First night opened: nose of earth and herbs; second night after vacuum-sealing and re-opening: "barnyard" aromas yielding to anise.Both times: moderate-high tannins, moderate acidity, light fruit, lingering finish with an earthy taste like on the front.

Plum nose with a layer of cherry underneath. Medium tannins, touch of smokiness nose/palate. Well-balanced.

Caramel corn/toasty nose; soft fruit and lingering touch of oak on palate; finishes with pleasant acidity and medium tannins. Good with vegetables. Thanks to Mike from Gambino's Wines in O'Fallon, Missouri.

Wildflower, hay, melon nose; more melon and honey on palate. Smooth, with less acidity than New World S. Blancs. Dry, however--good on its own or with food.Vacuum-sealed the bottle and had more the next day. Lost a lot of the melon/fruity tones and developed a brisk acidity... quite different from first opening.
