Added Oct 30, 2009 at 6:30pmRuby Red. Rich Berry, light spice. Flavors of cherry, currant, leather, smoke and earth. Has a great tangy acidity. Aeration softens the wine nicely. A manly Rioja - simps and pansies beware! From IWC, 88 points: "(95% tempranillo, with graciano and mazuelo) Light, bright red. Smoky red berries and cherry on the nose, with hints of leather and cured meat. Spicy redcurrant and strawberry flavors are complemented by floral pastille and herbs, with silky tannins adding firmness. Gains weight with air and finishes with lingering cherry and blackberry flavors."

Average Price: $9.99
Added Oct 23, 2009 at 8:56pmA respectable table wine. Very berry. Drank it with Chile Releno - paired very nicely with the cheesy, spicy dish. From the label, "The region's vines receive very little annual rainfall and produce incredibly concentrated fruit which translates into wine of great depth and character." This is very much a table wine of great depth and character.

Added Oct 3, 2009 at 4:24pmOne of the best wines that I have ever tasted. Tastes like a great sherry and a great dessert wine married and bore forth Primitivo Quiles Fondillon 1948. Made in a 10 barrel Solera, this wine is like nothing else I have ever tasted. Has the amazing richness and nuttiness of amontillado and the fruit and honey of a dessert wine. Were I stuck on a desert island, this would be my wine of choice.

Added Oct 10, 2009 at 3:31pmI found this to be a great dry red wine with moderate tannins. Rich dark berries, notes of coffee and a hint vanilla with subtle spice on the finish.

Added Oct 17, 2009 at 12:58pmGreat PX. I found it leagues beyond the Osborne entry level PX. Tastes like good candy. Smells of raisins. Flavors of exotic woods, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Very thick, sweet and elegant. A great dessert wine. Pairs very nicely with Daphne baking company macadamia nut tart (and good dark chocolate).
