Added Oct 6, 2008 at 11:53pmSweet, nutty, and not too much wood flavor. It's great when it first hits your tongue, but the initial flavor gives way to a bit of alcohol taste (the only reason I dock it a point).

Added Feb 27, 2008 at 12:36amA little dry--I expect more fruit flavor from a merlot.

Added Dec 10, 2007 at 9:50pmI got this for around $5, and it sort of tastes like that. I'm used to slightly higher quality stuff, and I guess the biggest thing you get with higher quality wines (and especially dessert wines) is smoothness. This one starts out pretty tasty, but it has a fairly strong alcohol kick.

Added Dec 18, 2007 at 11:43pmRight out of the bottle, I thought this one smelled pretty good. The first taste was only kind of "blah", but by the third I'd warmed to it already. This one was really smooth--with almost no "alcohol burn" or acidity.

Added Dec 6, 2007 at 1:00amNot horrible, but the wood flavor is way too overpowering.

Added Dec 5, 2007 at 2:47amI'm not a huge fan of whites, but this one sold me on how clean it tasted.
Added Dec 5, 2007 at 2:43amTasty, if a little forgettable. It's almost too sweet, even for a dessert wine.

Added Dec 5, 2007 at 2:49amI've gotten some of this two years running, and for now it's my favorite dessert wine. Instead of just tasting sweet, as many dessert wines do, this one actually has a great flavor to accompany the sweetness.
