    SillyValley's Review:

A full bodied, pale yellow, huge nosed Riesling. This wine is full of blossom-y fragrance and goes down like spicy peach nectar with a big alcohol payoff. The finish tastes like golden apple peachy candy. Many would call this overdone but I think it's a blast and if I see it again I will buy more.

    SillyValley's Review:

Very light cranberry color, extremely clear with a pale, watery rim. The aromas are faint: spice and woods. Body is extremely light. Tastes earthy and soft with a gentle cherry flavor and some of the spice that was detected in the nose. Decanting brings out an additional amount of spice and some petroleum flavor and a bit of oil in the finish.

Very soft, silky, lots of fruit, low acidity, slightly flabby but very likable and easy to drink.

I love wines like this - food friendly, easy to drink, and the floral nose is addicting. The color is a pale yellow green with good clarity. Medium to full bodied with tropical flavors to go with the floral nose. The acidity is refreshing despite the full body and it pairs beautifully with rich terrine and pate, soft cheeses like La Tur, honey, and yeasty bread. I've had this with spicy Viet and Thai food and that was a good pair as well, particularly with the dishes containing lots of garlic.

    SillyValley's Review:

Wow this cab is huge. It's a dark ruby, almost black from some angles with a hot pink rim. Smoke, rubber, bacony nose. Light bodied with black pepper, cedar, chewy tannin, and it is tight as hell with a long clove laden finish. This needs a lot more time on its side.

For $14 this is a good wine. Not complex but very food friendly. Had this with turkey meatloaf, those bbq mini weenies, and chicken ala king at a potluck. Very safe solid choice for a variety of meat dishes.

    Drinkable but totally boring.

  • SillyValley's Review:

Lighter than the lightest color you'd expect for a sauvignon blanc, this wine packs some lovelly acidity and effervescence. It stood up to a great basil pesto with a ton of spicy garlic, and a platter of spaghetti with clams with red pepper, wine, and butter. One question though: what is up with the "estate grown" attribute on the label?

    SillyValley's Review:

Dark ruby with a bronze rim, just a bit cloudy. Some funky barnyard and bacon in the nose and a little bery. Really well balanced with good acidity, lingering spice in the finish, smooth. I like.

  • SillyValley's Review:

Deep garnet with a watery rim, good clarity and a light body. There was some kind of funky soft rind cheese aroma which is not a bad thing, just not my thing. Bright cherries, spice, cedar, a bit acidic but totally Italian - not out of balance. Big tannins and loooooong finish.
