    SetarconeX's Review:

This is a very, very, sweet wine. A flash of acidity at the end makes me almost think I'm drinking pineapple juice.

    SetarconeX's Review:

Fruit forward, dry, and a tad bitter. First word that comes to mind is uncomplicated. A bit of sour raspberry. Not really good at all.

  • SetarconeX's Review:

A bit of a sharpness to this one. An almost smoky aroma. Flavors of blackberry, and more blackberry.

  • SetarconeX's Review:

A little on the sweet side. Flavors of honey and greenery. Dash of apricot. Quite a drinkable little wine.

    SetarconeX's Review:

Deep purple. Ever so slightly herbaceous, with a fairly large amount of dark cherry flavor. Not too astringent. Really Petit Syrah 101 here. Nothing to fancy. Nothing that stands out. Not bad in any way. Just your basic table wine.

    SetarconeX's Review:

Smells like alcohol and paraffin. Flavors of lemon and pear, with all the over the top acidity you might expect from such a pairing. Possibly something of a specialty taste, but a very interesting and unique wine.

  • SetarconeX's Review:

Slightly grassy, very citric, with perhaps a dash of pear. Wonderfully bright and youthful wine. Quite enjoyable.

    SetarconeX's Review:

Compared to the French and Spanish Grenache I'm used to, this one comes across as lighter, more fruity, slightly acidic, and with much easier tannins. To many people, this would be a list of prime attributes. To me, this is exactly the opposite of why I drink Grenache. I'd very much like something with a bit more heft to it. That isn't to say it's a bad wine, but in playing up the fruit, it gives up much of the earthiness that usually makes this varietal so interesting.

    SetarconeX's Review:

Six years out from "the vintage of the sun" this remains a tasty and distinctly un-Beaujolais Beaujolais. Oddly dry and complex, if you can find some, give it another try.

  • January 2009

    SetarconeX's Review:

Light and citric. Very low acidity. A tasty little table wine.
