This is an outstanding Chardonnay. Aromas of mango, pineapple and yeast with similar flavors of mango, pineapple and apple with a hint of lime. It has nice supple finish of butterscotch and oak. Erica said it's delicious. A must have. SDWC.

Aromas of eucalyptus, herbs and maybe a hint of licorice. This cab is a nice big mouth full of a chocolaty cassis, a hint of espresso and spice...and maybe a touch of fermented dark berry leather...if that makes any sense. This is a yummy luxurious cab. We've never been cab drinkers, and maybe that's from inexperience with this varietal, but this one can make us a fan. We cellared it for a year from when received, and then let it decant about 40 minutes before drinking, which was recommended if you are drinking it relatively young. Ours was only 3 years old and this wine should be good for about 10. Unfortunately, this 2004 Signature cab is sold out. Try your local wine specialty store. UPDATE: we only drank half the wine, sealed it, and place it back in the wine fridge and finished it the next night. It was even better. A little more smooth and gained some chocolaty tones.

HOLY SHIT! We bought this 2003 A. Raf Zin in March of 2006. We cellared it for 2 years and finally cracked it. This...is...phenomenal. Especially for a zin. Most Zins start to become a little on the heavy fruit forward side, but this smoothed out so outstandingly. This starts to borderline a touch of Cab and Syrah. OK...lots of raspberry on the nose including some Frambois with some herby hints to it. Great Flavors of raspberry, a touch of raisin and some of that smooth cab quality with beautiful tannins.

We bought this 2003 in April of 2007 and stuck it in the cellar (aka wine fridge) and let it sit until 2008, which is the last year of it's consumption period. It was worth the wait 2 fold. The fruit of this wine mellowed out and became a rich unsweetened fruit with earthiness and a big minty finish. This wine is enjoyable right out of the case as well as aged for an extra couple years. Too bad this vintage all gone.
