Entry level wine. OK for an introduction to rioja but not something I would search for.

A bit shy on the fruit. Bitter mid palate with a shortish finish. I'm not sure what the winemaker was trying to do with this wine.

Totally dry. Ripe and fruity with a tart finish.

Drank pop and pour. Classic grenache on the nose and fairly translucent in the glass. Medium weight and red fruited in the mouth with some acidity. Finishes with some pretty strong green tannins. Classic in style. We'll see what day two brings. Second day the wine fruit has settled a bit and the acidity has come forward. The green tannins remain. On the third day the tannins matched well with some blue cheese and some olives. I'm giving this an extra half point for being different.

Made like a cali chard, ripe, lighter acidity and has seen a touch of wood. Tasty just not up my alley.

Balance. Nice bit of red fruitiness with good acidity and finishes with drying tannins and a bit of vanilla. Nothing overpowering. Good by itself. Good with food. What more can you ask from a wine.

Bought in 375ml from Total Wine. Mostly merlot. Good acidity with some biting tannins. Would be better in a few years.

Strawberry and raspberry on the nose. Light bodied with raspberry on entry, plenty of acidity and a smooth tanninless finish. Darn good for coming from a can. On par with other entry level pinots from Oregon. Think I'll keep a can or two around.

Well balanced fruit and acid. Have a cold and taste buds are off a bit but this sure hit the spot. Will try another bottle later.
