    Pyrifera's Review:

Very pleasant gooseberry aromas. Balanced acidity and flavors of citrus and minerals.

    Pyrifera's Review:

Tasted this at the winery. It was much lighter than I was expecting for a syrah, but pleasantly so. Ripe fruit aromas, with blueberry leading the pack. Wonderful flavors of dark fruit, oak, leather, and cedar. Much more fruit-forward than other syrah's I've tasted.

  • Pyrifera's Review:

Much lighter in color and body than what I have experienced in past sangioveses. But, it was a really nice change. Armoas and flavors of fresh fruit, including cherry and strawberry, with pleasant notes of leather and oak. Refreshing and well-balanced. In fact, I think this could probably be slightly chilled and serve as a nice summer sipping wine.

  • Pyrifera's Review:

Lemon, stone fruit, and wet stone aromas. Very high acidity with flavors of lemons and tart green apples, with a bracing tart aftertaste. Certainly not the wine for everyone due to its unbalanced acidity and tartness. But, if you like highly acidic and bracing whites (like me), this is a good choice.

  • Pyrifera's Review:

Wonderful grassy aromas with hints of melon and citrus. The flavors matched the aromas, with strong grass and citrus flavors. Light, crisp, and clean, with tingling acidity. A very good SB.

  • Pyrifera's Review:

Light, but still reasonably complex with delicate cherry and strawberry flavors. Nice tannins. Though this particular offering from Schug was oaked more than the Sonoma Coast and Carneros pinot noirs that I tasted, it did not create an overpowering or exceedingly full wine, but rather helped to add a subtle complexity. Overall, pretty nice.
