    Pymonte's Review:

Very nice, with hints of melon and citrus on the nose. Completely unoaked, so this has complexity and grace without being overpowering or overbearing. Beautiful acid and minerality on the finish, which lasts unexpectedly long. Really nice.

    Pymonte's Review:

This port is fantastic, and absolutely lives up to expectations of the Taylor-Fladgate brand. Not oxidized to the point where many other ports are, the ten-year tawny displays notable red fruit as well as the toffee and caramel notes that are to be expected. Candied and dehydrated raspberry are the main points of interest in the nose, and the first to hit the palate, followed by lilac, caramel and honeyed fruit. The finish of dark fruit jam and fresh figs lasts so long that it may actually set up a temporary residence, that is, until the next sip is on the way down.

  • Pymonte's Review:

Beautiful Wine. Cooked raspberry, golden raisin, allspice, dark fruits, and pepper on the nose, with apple peel, unripe pear, leather, a hint of wildflowers, and luscious earthy tones in the mouth. Very long finish with well-structured tannins and just enough acidity. Definitely a great wine, especially for the price.

    Pymonte's Review:

Tremendously fruity, with huge berries both red and black, mace, and cinnamon on the nose and the palate. Finishes with wet rock and petrol, and surprisingly light tannins. Would be excellent with duck, rare steak, and smoked foods.

    Pymonte's Review:

Very powerful, muscular bottle, with tomato pincage, smoke, and pancetta on the nose. Char-grilled steak, spices, and cooked cabbage round out the palate, with ridiculously smooth tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a beautifully long finish.

  • Pymonte's Review:

For the price, this is a killer wine. It'd be a good buy at double the price.Big red, with loads of fruit on the nose, a deep, opaque near-black color, and a full-bodied, muscular feel. Opens up on the palate with red fruit, then transitions into peppercorns and aroma of blue cheese. Very smooth, well-structured tannins, and an extremely long-lasting finish. Would pair well with strong, sweet cheeses, sweet lamb dishes, any dish with venison, and seared steak with a high fat content.

    Pymonte's Review:

Not overly complex or nuanced, Harvey's is the quintessential "beginner's sherry." It's easily accessible, with a nose of brown sugar, hazelnut, and roasted almond, flavors of honey, butterscotch, morel mushroom, and a surprisingly smooth, long finish.

  • Pymonte's Review:

Very nice. Made from Shiraz and Grenache, this Aussie port needs a few hours of breathing to mellow, but once it does, it's lovely. A beautiful tawny with roasted hazelnut on the nose, dried plum, date, and fig on the palate, and candied nuts on the finish.

    Pymonte's Review:

Red currant, blackberry, and cooked cranberry on the nose plays a beautiful prelude to the roasted red plum, fig, and mint chocolate flavors with a very herbaceous, minty-menthol note on the finish. Sweet but not cloying or syrupy. Would be a great pair with any cooked-fruit dessert.
