    Philip's Review:

Grapefruit and citrus on the nose. Very nicely balanced with lively acidity, good oak and a clean minerality. Very nice and worked well with mushroom soup.

Classic Cabernet nose of spice, eucalyptus, mint and cedar. Very nice, big, powerful and full bodied - this wine can age. Finishes on blueberry, tar and tobacco. Good acidity keeps the wine supple.

  • Philip's Review:

Nose of pine resin, moss and forest floor. Smooth in the mouth with soft tannins at first, which build over time. Intense fruit, with black cherry, blackberry and date flavors. Finishes on firmer tannins with licorice and anise notes.

  • Philip's Review:

Sweet, fruity nose of blueberries and welches grape juice. Grape jelly in the mouth - this is a seriously fruity wine. Sweet and fruity up front, with low tannins and not much after. Finishes quickly, but for $12 its a great deal.

  • Philip's Review:

Fantastic for the price! Notes of blackberries, tar and licorice. Very rich, sweet and fruity, the wine is bursting with blackberry, blueberry and prune fruit. Young, slightly tart towards the end. Finishes on bramble notes with cedar and the dusty drying effect of the tannins. Excellent for $10.

  • Philip's Review:

Lush and fruity nose of peaches, limes and nectarines. A rich and round wine, softened by some sugars. The wine has good fruit, but more over, good structure and notes of nettle, bay leaf and gooseberry, before finishing on a nutty, spicy note.

  • Philip's Review:

Very fruity with flavors of melon and marzipan on the nose. The wine has really lively acidity which makes it very drinkable, and gives it a cool crisp minerality.Very very fruity and emollient. Finishes on gooseberry and green melon. Really a surprising amount of acidity for a viognier. Impressive.

  • Philip's Review:

A solid example of a California Chardonnay - the nose of full of oak, vanilla and spice with some green apples behind. In the mouth the richness of the oak dominates and the wine is spicy and has notes of vanilla. There are fruit flavors of green apples up front, red apples later. Cinammon and baked pie crust on the finish.

$21 at retail! I saw this in a restaurant for $45 - so quite the deal...With strong lime flavors on the nose, this is a crisp and emollient wine with flavors of gooseberry and a solid, tart and flinty structure.

    Philip's Review:

A dusty nose of cocoa and cedar lead to a wine with full fruit flavors of black cherry, plum and raspberry. Lots of oak and structure give the wine a walnut and cedar flavor. Its a little out of balance, but a well priced wine. Worked very well with hanger steak.
