    Philip's Review:

Black olives and bay leaf flavors on the nose. Rich and dense with chocolate and green pepper notes. There's a hint of truffle and some barnyard, before the wine finishes on barely ripe raspberries and cherry flavors. Lingering tobacco notes.

  • Philip's Review:

A very earthy nose of mushrooms, wet soil and truffles. Firm acids on the attack, give way to sour cherry and raspberry flavors. The finish is taught, but offers good fruit and some nice vanilla tones from the oak.

  • Philip's Review:

Green olives on the nose layered with cherries and a nice herbal note. Great depth and complexity. Very sharp throughout, with a tart finish. There's more green vegetal flavors on the finish, which also has a slight medicinal quality. The nose on the wine is excellent, very inviting, and the wine has complexity, but its quite different in the mouth.

  • Philip's Review:

Beautiful, rich spicy nose which leads to a warm, rich wine with raspberry, nutmeg and cherry flavors. Finishes on a gentle minerality very nice.

  • Philip's Review:

Very nice herbal and menthol nose. Very rich and fruity with flavors of cherry, plum and cassis. Smooth attack, but with good acidity later. Raspberries with a light leathery flavor on the finish. Long finish. A nice wine.

    Philip's Review:

Green olives and pineapples on the nose. Pineapples and citrus continue through the mouth, the wine is green and not in my style. Finishes with a tart citrus tang.

  • Philip's Review:

Softly sweet earthy nose. Quite sweet, but with good typical merlot mouthfeel, and flavors of coffee, spice, anise. There's a manufactured quality on the mid palate, but its not too distracting. Finishes on a nice tartness of bitter cherry and plums.

  • Philip's Review:

Sweet tropical fruits of kiwi, pineapple and vanilla on the nose. Very buttery with flavors of red apple, cinnamon. Medium acidity keeps the wine from feeling flabby and the finish has a nice sharpness to it. Very creamy mouth feel throughout.

    Philip's Review:

Limes and bay leaf on the nose. Slightly off dry, but not overly sweet, which gives the wine a roundness. Nicely balanced with flavors of peaches and almonds. Crisp mineral and lemony finish.

  • DMZ Shiraz 2008

    $14.99

    Philip's Review:

Creamy nose with hints of pyrite. Very mineral in the mouth, with a cool iron and iodine flavor. Intense fruits, bordering on a licorice flavor. Very powerful and intense, with a thick concentrated mouthfeel.
