Added Feb 25, 2013 at 7:08pmA pale red. Aged in oak this wine features woody/earth aromas and a slightly smoky palate. A nice easy-drinking, well-balanced, extra-dry red wine.

Added Feb 17, 2013 at 10:03pmI appreciate this Riesling for its simplicity. It offers a pleasing palate of citrus and doesn't overpower on sweetness as many Rieslings do. Very drinkable on its own or with food and strikes most with an lengthy and appealing finish.

Added Feb 4, 2013 at 9:22pmAfter a few glasses this fragrant Gewurzt remains an enigma. A clear nose of spiced apple pie and apricot accent this yellow-ish wine. A sweet palate that is unlike any Gewurtz I’ve tasted from Ontario. A very edgeless and rounded mouthful that ends with a slight dryness on the finish. New World Gewurtz are often criticised for being overly flabby in texture. The softness of this particular vintage appears flabby on the outset, but has a particularly sweet appeal factor. Nevertheless, I remain unsure if this wine perfects balance and smoothness or fails at lacking any edge. A very perplexing experience. Paired well with spicy food.

Added Nov 2, 2012 at 6:19pmA subpar wine. The scent is unappetizing and the taste is light and flabby. Well past its shelf life at this point.

Added Jan 28, 2013 at 8:16pmAn extremely fragrant NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Strong hints of apricot and fresh cut grass on the nose. The palate is very round, smooth with juicy acidity and nice citrus, gooseberry and papaya notes. Finish is pleasing and subtle with lingering citrus notes. A very well crafted wine that will compliment light seafood dishes or spicy thai. Can as easily be enjoyed on its own. Best white wine of the year (thus far).

Kacaba Rebecca Rose 2011
Added Jan 21, 2013 at 9:45pmThis delicious rose exhibits a tremendous nose of strawberries with hints of spice and a very well balanced and refreshing palate of strawberries, pink grapefruit and orange blossoms. This is the best rose I've come across in Ontario to date. The rose is produced in a unique fashion that creates a very versatile wine that goes well beyond the summer sipper that dominates the rose label. A well balanced and shall I even admit...complex rose!? Indeed.
