Gary Farrell sold his winery, of the same name, and created "Alysian" to get back to the roots of what he originally set out to accomplish in wine. His main focus is Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley. This bottle is his inaugural debut of the Chardonnay vintage. This wine was the first of the Hamann wedding prix fixe menu. Phenomenal! Everything a Chardonnay could ever achieve in the overall performance, including: bouquet, color, taste, balance, back-end, and finish. True wine amazement.

The original and first edition 1975 inaugural artist series "Reclining Nude in Vineyard" edition Cabernet Sauvignon from Kenwood Vineyards. Banned from production by the board of Tabacco, Alcohol, and Firearms: deemed obscene. Art by David Lance Goines. Only 228 bottles released.

This particular bottle was relabled from the original version released in 1975. The original had a painted picture of a naked lady on a hillside by David Lance Goines. The Tabacco, Alcohol, and Firearms Association deemed the bottle's label "obscene". A second bottle with was admitted with a skeleton in place of the naked lady; also denied approval. This bottle is the 3rd and final bottle released as the Inaugural Kenwood artist series edition. Also our birth year vintage.
