Great Pomerol, but lacks the meat and muscle of the 05...A great value at 24 usd...Leather, Clay, Red fruit...serve it to your mother and fear excommunication not..;)

Picked up the last bottle of this 05 available locally here...decanted for 2 hours...WOW...Leather, clay, red fruits...Killer Pomerol..The 2006 follows suit, but lacks the meat and muscle that the 05 has.

As with the other vintages of C.Larose, this 2004 is full of earthy aromas and bombs the palate with leather and dark fruit...I simply adore this wine..You can't beat it for the price-its an exceptional value at 20 us dollars and honestly i would have paid 35 or more for a treasure like this..Buy every bottle you can get your hands on

(shivers)Way too sweet...you'll have had enough after 1 glass...Ok for parties where your not sure if the guests "drink red wine" or not...Closer to mad dog 20/20 or purple passion than a good wine..

Ive read several reviews of the 2004 vintage, and if you do the same, you will notice a common theme occurring when people taste this wine..Those who pop and drink give outrageously negative reviews-calling this wine a barnyard bomb or a dirty young model that requires much more cellaring to be approachable. Yet, those who take some time and decant this wine for at LEAST and hour will find, like myself, that this is TRULY a remarkable wine that will blow you away with the high perfumes and elegant bouquet found in much older vintages of high-end garage wines such and the 96 Chateau Potelle Cabernet and other hard to find treasures...I found it at a higher price than is usually seen on the internet at my local store at about 23 us dollars, but i promise you-If you take some time with this wine, you will absolutely love it, and will be beating down the door of your local retailer to get more, as i have. This wine is a great value and deserves nothing less than a 92+ rating..Nuff said
