Added May 22, 2012 at 1:13amMedium plus ruby. No discoloration at the rim yet, which is interesting for a wine that's now 8 years old. Blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar, vanilla, and leathery notes. Medium acidity, medium-plus tannins (initially fairly coarse, but seemed to soften a bit as the wine sat in our glasses for a while), medium-plus body, and medium length. Quite an interesting drink, though slightly leaning towards the oaky and tannic side.
