Added May 20, 2011 at 12:13amA unique dessert wine offering. Dry Chardonnay mixed with their own alembic brandy liqueur. Aromas of honey, and baked apple with a touch of floral. Very sweet but with wonderfully bright acidity. This wine is rich and opulent. Fans of Sauternes would really enjoy this.

Added May 20, 2011 at 1:24amLook out Opus One because there's a new kid in town that's coming out strong! It's hard for me to express how fundamentally great this wine was. From its rich layers of flavor to its balance of tannin, acid, oak, fruit, and body to a nose that was practically trying to escape the glass. The Oakville intensity shows through very well. The nose is jam packed with briar fruits like boysenberries, currents, and blackberries plus cedar, spicebox, and vanilla. Palate is weighty yet not overbearing with the aforementioned flavors plus cigar box, leather, and minerals. This is a wine that really makes you stop what you're doing and say "Wow!"

Maipe Cab Reserve 2009
Added Mar 23, 2012 at 12:39amArgentina delivers once again on value. A nice rich, well structured Cab. Cassis, coffee, vanilla, and spice dominate. The oak is significant and comes close to dominating the other flavors. It could use a touch more acidity for my taste but all in all is still a great wine (especially for $15 bucks!)

Added Mar 23, 2012 at 12:19amHorton's Norton, fun to say and fun to drink! One can't help but be reminded of a great Zinfandel when drinking this wine. Plums and black cherries with touches of black pepper. This is wine is a steal!

Added Mar 21, 2012 at 2:45pmThere are very few wines I come back to year after year but this is one of them. A blend of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc that is powerful yet harmonius. A woody and floral nose mingles well with the intense ripe blackberry jam. On the palate is dried lavender, herbs, more jammy blackberries, and a hint of tobacco. The Cab Franc rounds out the midpalate very well and adds complexity. Sheridan's wines drink well young but also age wonderfully.

Added Mar 21, 2012 at 4:29pmThis cab should be on everybody's best value under $30 list. It's Nonvintage which is interested and on the plus side, you can keep getting a consistently good wine year after year (at least theoretically) This has all the classic signs of a great Napa cab (at about half the price). Rich black fruit, vanilla, oak, full body and ripe tannins.

Added May 20, 2011 at 11:07pmA highly structured and rich wine. Big aromas of blackberries and black cherries as well as toasty oak. The considerable but ripe tannins support a base of black fruits with chocolate playing the all important supporting character role. A wonderful value from Marco Digiulio

Added Mar 21, 2012 at 1:05amAs always Togni has made a wine for the ages, that is to say a wine that will have serious aging potential however this vintage is significantly more accessible (with significant decanting time) than many of his previous offerings. As per usual we encounter massive tannins but very well integrated. Briary, cassis, huckleberry, and blackberry with clove, and charcoal notes. This is the only Napa Cab I would bet on to age beautifully for three decades.

Added Aug 22, 2011 at 12:42amThis wine gets my vote for the most over priced wine that's available to the general public. It is practically flavorless compared to artisanal Champagnes at the same or lower price point. I can say it doesn't taste bad and it goes down easy, but that's the best I can say. You simply can't make good wine at 10 million cases a year.
