Deep and opulent fruit, boysenberries and plums with spice and beautiful black tea. Nicely balanced with a very long finish.

Wow. There isn't much more that needs to be said about this wine. A truly masterful Syrah. Gobs of black cherry, black and blueberry, clove, cinnamon, tobacco, black pepper, cocoa, earth...it goes on and on. Nearly perfect balance and a finish that seems to last forever.

Kestrel's wines seem to always come off as hard to beat values, no wine more so than this. The wine is soft, with plenty of fruit from red to blue to black. There's a hint of leather and black pepper but not too much. Anyone looking to break into Syrah would be hard pressed to find a better Intro wine.

Hope you like massive structure (I do) because this wine has it! The wine has plenty of deep, rich, dark fruit but this wine is really about the tar, smoke, licorice and pepper. Those that love very fruity Syrahs should stay away, this is quite dry.

A wonderful Syrah from an under-appreciated region. Deep black and blue fruits on the nose along with clove, black pepper and smoke. The palate is concentrated with some nice earthy notes coming through with blackberry pie and pencil lead.

Big bursts of red and black fruits and oak on the nose. The palette has black raspberry jam, clove, and black pepper with a touch of baking chocolate on the finish. Intense is the word for this wine.
